2006

  • October 21:North Wales Cocker Ch Show: The "terrible twins" had a lovely day - Jimmy was 3rd in Minor Puppy Dog (Judge Mrs M Coar) and Cherry was 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy Bitch (Judge Mr G Waite)
  • October 15: Midland Cocker Open Show. Cherry was 1st in Minor Puppy Bitch and Jimmy was 3rd in Minor Puppy Dog (Judge: M Wildman)
  • September 20 : Congratulations to Shenmore Sage who gained his Kennel Club Good Citizen Silver and Gold Awards today at just 15 months old. This clever young boy is owned by our friends Sandy and Richard and trained by Sandy. A great achievement as Sandy has only been training Sage for a few months!
  • September 3: City of Birmingham Ch Show. Our two new orange babies (Shenmore Sunny Jim and Shenmore Suddenly Sunshine) made their debut in Minor Puppy and both came 2nd, despite still being in their fluffy puppy coats (Judge: Mrs B Edwards) It's nice to see that some judges do not expect baby pups to be turned out like miniature adults! As our dogs are always hand stripped, we wait for the coats to be ready to be stripped rather than use short-term methods that can ruin the coats long term, which no doubt is considered old-fashioned by many these days.
  • August 11-12 th: Andrew was judging at the Australian Cocker National Show hosted by the Cocker Spaniel Society of New South Wales. We both had a fabulous time in this wonderful country and Andrew greatly appreciated the opportunity to assess so many high quality Cockers. The photo below shows his Best in Show winner, Gr Ch Ryangaye Rhythm N Time, owned by Ann O'Keefe and bred by Gaye Allen.
